Negan “I hope you’ve got your shittin’ pants on… Cause you, are about to shit your pants!”
So it’s that time of year again. The Walking Dead is back on our screens and this series is subtitled as “All Out War”. The end of Season 7 saw Rick and his merry men being visited by Negan and The Saviours. Just as it looked like Rick and Co. were cornered, the Hilltop and the Kingdom fighters showed up forcing Negan and The Saviours to retreat. We rejoin the gang in what would appear to be a short time after as Season 8 kicks off.
Welcome back to On My TV This Week! I’m going to start with a film this week and then move on to the series’ that I’ve been tracking. Thanks again for taking the time to read and I hope you enjoy!Continue reading
OK, let’s try something new again! I think I’m going to try and get weekly recaps of the main TV shows that I’ve watched in the previous week, a short synopsis, and what I thought of each show. As always, please prepare yourself for spoilers!Continue reading
If you asked me to name a film that could be turned in to a TV series, Snatch most certainly wouldn’t have been my first choice. In fact, I doubt it even would have crossed my mind! Never-the-less, American TV Streaming company, Crackle, have decided that that’s just what they’d do!
L-R: Young Albert Hill, Vic Hill
With Snatch being one of my favourite British films, I had to give this a shot and see if it was worth the hype. Snatch the TV Series is loosely based on its movie counterpart from 2000 by Guy Ritchie, in that it’s centred around a heist gone wrong and a thrown boxing match. After that, though, it’s easy to see that this is its own entity.Continue reading
It looks like HBO has done something right this week, as the finale has remained under wraps…. Well, except for the plot outline that made its way on to Reddit! I’ve avoided reading this though so I’m thoroughly looking forward to what we have in store for the Season 7 finale!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll have heard that HBO Spain leaked this episode an entire 5 days before it was due to be aired. Being someone who wants to avoid spoilers, I had to watch it as soon as I could! I’ve held off posting this blog until now to save any more spoilers being online. Don’t forget you can check out my reactions to previous episodes here. The intro is starting… Let’s roll!Continue reading
Here we go, episode five out of seven. This is passing far too quickly! I’m not sure what to expect this week, although going by the title, I’m assuming we’ll be back at the wall at some point! Don’t forget you can check out my reactions to previous episodes here. The intro is rolling… Let’s go!Continue reading
I’m quite getting into these reactions posts now! Check out what I thought of the rest of the season so far by clicking here!
Anyway, on to episode 3, The Queen’s Justice! I get a feeling Dany and Cersei will feature big again this week. Let’s do this!Continue reading
Is it Christmas yet? It must be, for Game of Thrones is back on TV and Winter has come! Bad joke? I’m not even sorry!
I’m going to try something different with this post. I’m going to watch the episode and as I do, I’m going to simply jot down my thoughts on what’s happening and post them here in some kind of listed order… So yeah, here we go! Game of Thrones, Season 7, Episode 1 – Dragonstone!Continue reading
TL;DR – Modern Ruin is a sophisticated Punk album for the modern ages. Frank Carter has proved once again that there is more to him than the hardcore punk front man that we first met with Gallows.
Frank Carter is a name that has carved it’s way to the centre of the hardcore, punk and rock scene over the last 10 years. After first being unleashed with the furiously wild Gallows, Frank decided to try something slightly calmer in his second band, Pure Love. While this left some fans somewhat confused, Frank explained that he needed to escape the angry lyrics to keep his psyche in check.
After Pure Love decided to take a hiatus in 2014, we were left wondering what was going to happen next. Never being one to stay still for long, Frank Carter started exploring his heavier roots and thus The Rattlesnakes were formed. Their debut album, ‘Blossom‘ (★★★★½) was a rip-roaring frenzy of punk, hardcore and even some blues. ‘Modern Ruin‘ takes a step away from that again in to something a lot more refined.Continue reading
